Services Available To Meet Your Needs

Tender Nursing Care is a Medicare certified home health agency.  We follow the same strict Medicare guidelines for the care we provide for all of our patients.  This means that our patients receive the same high level of care and excellence regardless of who is paying for their care. All home health agencies do not offer the range of services that Tender Nursing Care offers.  We offer services designed to meet our clients changing needs.  They are comforted to know that they are able to have all of their needs met through one agency.

Home Health Services

Home health services are those medically necessary services that are most often covered by traditional and managed care insurance plans and are sometimes referred to as skilled services.

Skilled Nursing

Care given or supervised by registered nurses. Nurses provide direct care; manage, observe, and evaluate a patient’s care; and teach the patient and his or her family caregiver. Our professional and caring nurses work with our clients to develop a plan to to keep them healthy and safe at home.

Physical Therapy

Treatment of injury and disease by mechanical means, like heat, light, exercise, and massage.

Occupational Therapy

Services given to help you return to usual activities (like bathing, preparing meals, and housekeeping) after illness either on an inpatient or outpatient basis.

Speech Therapy

This is the study of communication problems. Speech therapists assist with problems involving speech, language, and swallowing. Communication problems can be present at birth or develop after an injury or illness, like a stroke.

Home Health Aide

Part time or intermittent services to help you with your daily living activities.  Most insurers require that you meet the need for skilled nursing or therapy to qualify for this service.  Our dedicated and reliable aides provide assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal care.  Assistance with homemaking is limited to less than 10% of the time the aide will be with you.  These visits will usually be from 45 - 90 minutes long, depending on the amount of physical assistance that you need.

Home Care Services

Personal Care Aide

Personal care aide, personal care respite aide, and homemaker/personal care aide services fall into the category of aide services that are not dependent upon a patient requiring skilled care to receive services.  These services are generally not covered by traditional Medicare and private insurance.  These services are often paid for by one of the Medicaid waiver programs, long-term care insurance, or the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging PASSPORT program or Senior Options.  and by the patient (private pay).  They usually reflect a level of care that is designed to meet the long-term care needs for our clients.
